The La Crosse Community Foundation is funded by contributions in the form of unrestricted gifts, as well as through donor advised funds, designated funds and fields of interest funds. This support is vital to continuing the work of the foundation to assist charitable agencies and people in the greater La Crosse area. Your contributions to the foundation build better tomorrows for our whole community.

Donations and contributions to the foundation impact thousands of people every year. With your help, we are able to issue scholarships to assist needy students, grants to support child abuse prevention programs and other special community initiatives like the Mental Health Coalition. Existing funds like the Women's Fund and agency endowments including the La Crosse or Onalaska Public Education Funds, Boys and Girls Clubs, Children's Museum, Coulee Region National Youth Sports Program, Family and Children's Center Endowment, La Crosse Historical Society Fund, Goodwill Industries Fund, Gordon Concert in the Park Fund, La Crosse Chamber Chorale Fund, La Crosse Concert Band Fund, Mental Health Coalition Endowment Fund, Pettibone Park Fund, Salvation Army Endowment, St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Endowment, United Fund for the Arts and Humanities Fund are standing funds that welcome and encourage additional gifts to their endowments to expand the work they can do in our community.

Thoughtful community members created the La Crosse Community Foundation more than 75 years ago and we invite you to continue that tradition. We gratefully accept gifts of all sizes throughout the year and in whatever form works best for donors:

• Deferred gifts through wills and charitable trusts are treasured gifts.
• Gifts of cash can go to work immediately for operations or specific programs like those mentioned above.
• Gifts of stock and real property - these gifts provide a triple benefit, in that they provide donors a charitable deduction and eliminate capital gains taxes while at the same time helping to further the foundation's mission.
• Matching gifts - many employers offer matching gifts program, enabling you to double or triple the amount of your gift.
• Memorials - memorials and gifts honoring loved ones are a wonderful way to remember special people. As with other gifts, memorials and gifts honoring loved ones may be designated for an existing fund or can be used to establish a new fund in that individual's name.
