Your La Crosse Community Foundation turned 90 years old in July, making us one of the oldest in the nation.

LCF was founded in 1930, when a streetcar still ran down Main Street and the Cass Street bridge was only a plan. Although La Crosse County has changed dramatically in the 90 years since, one constant holds strong: our commitment to protecting and growing the financial resources necessary to support the many local charitable organizations that continue to make our community safe, vibrant, and beautiful.

Here’s a snapshot of our most notable moments over the past 90 years:

Thanks to the forward thinking of those who established this source of permanent community capital, we now have much to be thankful for. Check out our highlights from 2019:

We’d like to thank all those who’ve given to the foundation over the years, whether it be a monetary gift or a gift of service, you are all helping to ensure that we remain a place that connects people, passion and giving in the La Crosse area forever.
