AAUW La Crosse WINGS workshop

The La Crosse branch of AAUW is once again offering a WINGS (Women INterested in Going to School) workshop!

WINGS is a gateway to a promising and productive future for women of all ages. This workshop provides information on the aspects of returning to school and gets women started on the process. The target audience of the workshop is women seeking a GED certificate, college admission, a career change, or an upgrade in their job skills.

Andrea Hansen, director of the SSP program at UWL, is planning the presentations for the workshop.

Presentations will cover topics such as:

– What direction, destination and decisions are right for me?

– Am I smart/ready/good enough to be a successful student?

– How much does it cost? How can I get financial help?

– Can I really be a student, parent, provider?

There will also be an opportunity for participants to talk with each college representative.

Registration deadline: Friday, April 5.

The entire program is free to participants; childcare and lunch will be provided.
