Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that gives you the tools to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. There are courses specific to adult mental health and youth mental health – both courses will be offered at this training.
What it covers:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental illness
- Common signs and symptoms of substance abuse
- How to assist an individual in a crisis
- How to connect an individual to help
Who should attend: Adult community members, Employers, Faith leaders, Parents, Caring individuals
