We focus on the Mississippi River and its boundary waters. We pull debris out of and around the water as far North as Brice Prairie, and as far South as Goose Island, covering all of La Crosse County.

River Clean Up: From 8am-12pm, check in at one of the following locations: 7th Street Landing, Goose Island South Landing, Clinton Street Landing or Fred Funk Landing on Brice Prairie. Volunteers will be provided trash bags and gloves, then sent out on the water, along the shorelines and even through neighborhoods that surround the water. Any trash collected can be brought back to one of the landings and placed in dumpsters. A member of the River Clean Up will be at each landing to check in volunteers, answer questions and help with trash disposal.

Expect to get dirty. Wear proper clothing and use precaution on and around the water. If you are bringing a boat, please inspect it prior to the River Clean Up. Anyone in a boat must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD). The water can be dangerous. Be smart, take precautions and stay safe. The La Crosse County Dive & Rescue Team will be at the 7th Street landing and the Brice Prairie EMS & Rescue will be at the Fred Frunk landing to provide assistance as needed.

All volunteers and their families are invited to the after party celebration. Which is normally held at the Copeland Park Shelter from 12pm-2pm. We have local food, some entertainment and a few educational displays for volunteers to enjoy. Families and non volunteers are always welcome.
