Scott HenkeHonoring a life that loved his furry friends

The Scott Henke Memorial Fund for the Care and Shelter of Animals was established by his father Paul and sister Nicole following Scott’s passing in 2016. The fund is designated to support the care of animals in shelters as a meaningful way to honor the memory of Scott, an animal lover.

Scott Henke was just 44 when he passed and lived in Chicago with his beloved dog, Charlie. Before his passing, he made plans for an animal-loving neighbor to care for Charlie and made provisions in his estate to help with the expenses.

Establishing a fund that will live on forever

Scott was a regular contributor to nonprofits, especially animal shelters, and was active in groups that cared for animals.

The fund is designated to provide an annual grant to either the Sparta Animal Shelter, Viroqua-Westby Animal Shelter, or the Coulee Region Humane Society.

All are welcome to contribute

If you would like to support these endowed funds that benefit care for the Sparta Animal Shelter, Viroqua-Westby Animal Shelter, or the Coulee Region Humane Society, but do not want to start your own fund, we invite you to contribute to the Scott Henke Memorial Fund for the Care and Shelter of Animals or The Lagniappe Fund. Please click here to do so. Simply write the fund name in the designation box on the donate form.
