This fund was established in memory of family members and others who perished in the Shoah. It is dedicated to all who come to America for religious freedom. “Shoah” is Hebrew for “catastrophe,” the genocide in which approximately six million Jews and five million others were murdered by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. The fund awards grants to the La Crosse Public Education Foundation for educational programs about the Holocaust and related topics.
